The Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) convened a multilateral workshop on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) in Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, on June 13-17, 2016. Building on the ACSS ‘Countering Violent Extremism’ Series, this workshop took stock of the latest research and policy recommendations regarding CVE in Africa, in order to refine findings and advance analysis to inform African and partner defense and security leaders formulating and implementing CVE programs today.

The workshop hosted 47 participants hailing from 13 countries from across the continent and also included numerous ACSS alumni.
