On Friday, July 31, the Africa Center was pleased to welcome the newest class of African fellows at the National Defense University.  Numbering 20 and coming from 12 countries across the continent, the fellows arrived this summer before beginning their rigorous year-long academic program at the College of International Security Affairs, the Eisenhower School, or the National War College.  Africa Center Director Kate Almquist Knopf and other center personnel spoke to the fellows about the work of ACSS and discussed also possible areas of collaboration and support between one another during this academic year.  Congratulations to all the fellows on their nomination and best of luck for this year!
