Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Hiep (Army, Vietnam) attended the inaugural Legal Aspects of Peacekeeping Operations (LAPKO) resident course in 2017 and has already begun applying what he learned at DIILS as a UN military observer in South Sudan. Tbilisi - Deputy Minister Nukri Gelashvili, and legal leaders from the Georgian Ministry of Defense partnered with DIILS attorneys on a review of a pending revision to the Georgian Defense Code. This Code will serve as the Georgian Defense Forces' overarching legislation and is designed to complement new amendments to the Georgian Constitution.
