The Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) conducted a 2-day human rights seminar in N'Djamena, Chad as part of the congressionally mandated 1206 program. The DIILS team, consisting of judge advocates from the United States Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard provided training on international human rights and humanitarian law to 19 members of the Chadian Special Anti-Terrorism Group (SATG). The SATG is a specially formed unit within the Chadian military tasked to conduct nation-wide security and counterterrorism operations with a specific focus on border security and interdiction of those trafficking in illicit goods.
