The Africa Center was pleased to host this morning two distinguished members of our community from Madagascar. Major General Dominique Rakotozafy, Minister of Defense, as well as Major General Herilanto Raveloharison, Minister of Economy and Planning, visited the Africa Center to discuss future possibilities of collaboration and provide their perspective on the most important security issues in Madagascar. They are visiting Washington for the US-Africa Heads of State Summit. Their visit to ACSS precedes the Africa Center's planned visit to Madagascar on August 18-20, the first such trip since 2008.
