New Marshall Center Alumni Scholars
GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Aug. 27, 2014) Today, Dean of the College of International and Security Studies, Dr. Robert Brannon, awarded the title of “Marshall Center Scholar” to two PASS CB 13-11 alumni from Georgia, Irina Tsertsvadze and Natia Kalandarishvili.
Irina and Natia spent the past 5 weeks at the Marshall Center conducting research on developing guidelines for coordination between the Parliament and the Government of Georgia on the process leading to EU Association.
Irina and Natia will take their work back home to Georgia for implementation consideration by their organizations with full support of the leadership, Chairman Victor Dolidze (Committee on European Integration, Parliament of Georgia) and the State Minister Alex Petriashvili (Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration).
The Marshall Center team congratulates Irina and Natia on the successful completion of their research work and wishes them all the best in their future professional endeavors.
The MC Scholar’s Program, which began in 2005, supports 3-4 scholars a year to conduct research at the Marshall Center for up to 5 weeks on a relevant topic. At the end of the research the scholar makes a presentation to faculty and staff and if possible, the research is published by the Marshall Center.
