At the most recent National Council on US Arab Relations policy maker's conference, I chaired a panel on defense issues. Other panelists were Brigadier Nawaf al-Thani, the former Qatari attache to Washington, and Colonel Abbas Dahouk, the former US attache in Riyadh.
