DIILS' instructor discusses Human Rights with members of the class.

DIILS conducted a seminar on Counter-Terrorism in accordance with the Law of Armed Conflict and Human Rights in Sana'a, Yemen in April.  The DIILS team engaged with 65 Yemeni participants, including officials from the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs.  This was the first U.S. military training team to visit Yemen in two years, a key milestone in U.S. support during the country's transition.  U.S. Embassy Sana’a invited DIILS to conduct the training as part of its broader goal of assisting the Yemeni National Consensus Government as it reorganizes, reunifies, and professionalizes its military and security forces to effectively restore order, stability, and security throughout the country.
