Group presentations are a key component of LCT.JPG

From DIILS | anonymous | 17 avr 2014

Many of the 32 participants from 27 Countries attending DIILS' 15th Legal Aspects of Combating Terrorism course shared their counterterrorism experiences with fellow participants during the three-week seminar.  For example, representatives from several African countries collaborated on a group presentation on "Counterterrorism: the East African Experience."  Such participant presentations offer LCT participants an opportunity to learn from one another by exchanging lessons learned and developing best practices for combating terrorism in accordance with the rule of law.
LCT is designed for military officers and civilian officials who are, or plan to be, involved with combating terrorism through law enforcement or military means.  LCT covers the international law that applies to combating terrorism in three contexts: internal disturbances (domestic crime); internal armed conflict (a common tactic of insurgents); and international armed conflict.  The next offering of DIILS Legal Aspects of Combating Terrorism (LCT) course (MASL P176028) is 16 Mar-3 Apr 2015.
