The DIILS seminar in Lithuania was designed to promote observance and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, legitimate civilian authority, and international humanitarian law standards.  The 38 military participants also learned about international Law of Armed Conflict and rules of engagement, timely topics, as many in the audience are deploying to Afghanistan.
