BiH alumni hold roundtable on NATO partnership
The BiH alumni association in cooperation with the MOD and the Marshall Center held an alumni roundtable on 29 September in Army House, Sarajevo. More than 60 alumni and guests from the security sector and NGOs attended the 3-hour event which was entitled, "What is NATO Alliance to NATO Partners and What are NATO Partners to the Alliance?"
Brigadier Mersida Mesetovic (center above), BiH Alumni Association, opened the roundtable and highlighted the many alumni who hold top positions in the government and their regional alumni association activities. Speakers included (l to r) BG Christopher Perry, Commandant, NATO HQ Sarajevo; LTG Anto Jeleč, Chief of the Joint Staff; Ms. Ana Babić-Trišić, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and and Ms. Jelena Milić, Director, Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies (CEAS), Belgrade. Discussions included two panels which covered NATO’s role in BiH, the state of BiH accession activities, BiH PfP engagement with NATO and NATO as seen from another country in the region (Serbia).
