Marshall Center Prof. CAPT Rob Blazewick, the deputy director of the Seminar in Trans-Atlantic Civil Security (STACS), addressed over 45 Latvian civil servants and law enforcement personnel, almost all of them Marshall Center alumni, in Riga, Latvia today. CAPT Blazewick lectured on Japan’s experience coping with the 2011 Fukushima disaster.  LtCol. Michael Ebersbach of the Marshall Center’s Program and Strategy Division also addressed the audience about future course programs and outreach events for 2013.  Among the Latvian alumni attendees were parliamentarians BG (Ret.) Karlis Kreslins and Dr. Ivans Klementjevs.  Our sincere thanks to our Latvian colleagues for the warm welcome and opportunity to re-connect.
