Prof. Wither gives presentation in Budapest on NATO's Connected Forces Initiative (CFI)
On 3 December 2013, Prof. James Wither of the Marshall Center gave a presentation on NATO’s Connected Forces Initiative(CFI) at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Budapest. The event was coordinated by Ambassador (retired) Ferenc Boesenbacher, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Gabor Kaleta and Mr. Tibor Mezei, who are all leading members of the Marshall Center Alumni Association of Hungary. Attendees at the event included over 40 Hungarian alumni and other officials from the Hungarian Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense and the Foreign Ministry. Marshall Center Hungarian alumnus and Deputy State Secretary of Defense Mr. Peter Siklosi also gave substantive remarks on Hungary’s engagement in meeting CFI objectives. Other notable attendees included US Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Andre Goodfriend and non-Hungarian Marshall Center alumni Ambassador Victor Micula of Romania and Ambassador Gordan Grlic-Radman of Croatia.
