On 5 December 2024, The Diplomat published NESA Center alumna Shanthie Mariet D'Souza's latest article, "China-Pakistan’s ‘All Weather Friendship’ Gets Rebuff From Taliban."

"Beijing has sought to press the Taliban, on behalf of Pakistan, to deal with the TTP. The Taliban remain unmoved," writes D'Souza.
