On 16 September 2024, The Interpreter published the article "The Quad should talk about a fair Indo-Pacific" co-authored by NESA Center program participants Gaurav Saini and Dirk van der Kley.
"A shift in language is an easy start to broaden the appeal of the grouping to regional partners," write Saini and van der Kley.
About the Authors
Dr. Gaurav Saini is a Co-Founder of the New Delhi-based think tank, the Council for Strategic and Defence Research, and an expert in Indian foreign policy, international politics, and Indo-Pacific affairs.
Dr. Dirk van der Kley is a Technology Researcher at the Australian National University’s National Security College. He leads the Genes and Geopolitics program at the university. Previously he worked in China-focused research positions. Dirk worked in China in business and translation roles.
