    The effect of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has forced all of us to take protective measures to safeguard the health of our team and our partners. All our courses through June 2020 are postponed, as well as academic visits to our partner countries in the Americas. This is a developing situation and we are continually assessing changes to determine what courses and events that we will be able to offer after July 1st.     On Tuesday, March 3rd 2020 the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies hosted the Hemispheric Forum "Cuba's Continuing Regional Influence". The event featured subject matter experts from academia, Cuban dissidents, and US policymakers as they explored the question of how the Island maintained its disproportional impact in the region. Speakers expanded on Cuban diplomacy, cooperation, and intelligence gathering activities, and US Policy towards Cuba across different administrations. Continue reading

The Perry Center is a DoD institution for defense and security studies in the Western Hemisphere. Through courses, seminars, outreach, strategic dialogue, and focused research in support of policy objectives, the Perry Center works with senior civilian and military officials from the Americas to build strong, sustainable networks of security and defense leaders and institutions.
