Dr. Fabiana Sofia Perera, Assistant Research Fellow, participated in the 2019 SMA Conference, "The Evolving Anatomy of Conflict in a Dynamically Changing World" at Joint Base Andrews on May 21, 2019. The conference was organized by J39 - Directorate of Global Operations. Dr. Perera participated on a panel on "The Nearing Fight: USEUCOM, USINDOPACOM, USSOUTHCOM)." Her remarks focused on the involvement of extrahemispheric actors in the Western hemisphere. Dr. Perera was joined by Dr. Barnett Koven (University of Maryland), Dr. David Dorondo (Western Carolina University), and Mr. Adam Fields (US Department of State.)
