On June 14, 2024, Perry Center Professors Celina Realuyo and Boris Saavedra participated in the Forum on Leadership, Strategic Planning and Cooperation: A Threat and Challenge Scenario in the Defense and Security Sector for some 200 military, civilian and academic officials in person and online at the Military University Nueva Granada in Bogota, Colombia. The forum was inaugurated by Perry Center Director, Dr. Paul Angelo, Dr. Luis Edmundo Suarez, Colombian Vice Minister of Defense for Strategy and Planning, and Major General (ret.) Javier Alberto Ayala Amaya, PhD, Rector of Universidad Militar Nueva Granada. Professor Celina Realuyo spoke on “Global Threats from the US Perspective,” and Dr. Boris Saavedra spoke on “Governance and Strategic Leadership in Defense: Analysis of Models for Cybersecurity Decision Making.”
