By Colleen M. Traughber

This chapter examines the presence of a terror-crime nexus in Georgia. It focuses on potential points of intersection between terrorism and arms, drug and human trafficking. After outlining the threat that transnational terrorism and international organized crime pose to Georgia, the author discusses how and why terrorist and trafficking groups cooperate in Georgia and assesses current counterterrorism and counter-trafficking efforts in Georgia. Finally, the author offers policy recommendations to counter both phenomena in the future.
