By Albert A. Agresti
This paper begins with a brief overview of two documents issued by the Second Vatican Council: the Declaration on the Relationship of the Church to Non-Christian Religions regrading the engagement in dialogue between the Catholic Church and non-Christian faiths, and the Declaration on Religious Freedom: On the Right of the Person and of Communities to Social and Civil Freedom in Matters Religious. The author examines the role interreligious dialogue could play in countering ideological support for terrorism.
