Longtime friend of the Africa Center, Dr. Emile Ouedraogo spoke to us recently about military professionalism.  Dr. Ouedraogo retired in 2012 as a colonel in the Burkina Faso Army and then served as a member of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso and the ECOWAS Parliament in Abuja.  He was also previously Minister of Security of Burkina Faso.  He recently completed his Ph.D. at the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Paris and is now an independent scholar.

Read more about Dr. Ouedraogo's thoughts on military professionalism in Africa in his ACSS Research Paper "Advancing Military Professionalism in Africa" by clicking here.

Be sure to check out the Africa Center's YouTube page for new videos.
