Social Resilience in Southeast Asia
Can a nation comprised of so many diverse ethnic groups come together in response to a terrorist attack? Professor Elina Noor describes social resilience in Southeast Asia and why it matters in the context of preventing and countering violent extremism. She also provides resilience timelines and case studies for pre and post terrorist attacks through disengagment, de-radicalization, rehabilitation, community engagement and nation-building. Finally, she describes several key takeaways that are key to social resilience.
