NEW DIILS HUMAN RIGHTS CURRICULUM
Our new curriculum features interactive technology, such as this audience response system.
The Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) recently completed a major revision of its core curriculum on international human rights law. The new modules of instruction outline the major international (global and regional) human rights agreements. In addition to updates on important cases and state practice (i.e., how other nations interpret human rights norms), the revisions also feature more interactive instruction. The modules integrate audience response system Q&A, which has been shown to increase student participation. The new curriculum will be used globally by DIILS’ lawyers teaching mobile programs and resident courses that address human rights, including the congressionally-mandated 1206/1207 seminars.
