DIILS conducted a military justice seminar in Monrovia, Liberia. Discussions centered on a comparative analysis of the Commander's role in the military justice system and an exchange of best practices in preparing cases for military tribunals. Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) legal personnel gave an in-depth presentation on their military justice system. Participants included AFL 11 unit commanders and 11 other participants. One of them remarked that attending the DIILS seminar would make him a better leader. DIILS has engaged with the AFL in a multi-year effort to enhance their military justice capacity.
