General MacArthur Leadership Award to DIILS adjunct
Captain Barbara Algarin at a Pentagon ceremony on

Captain Barbara Algarin, a member of the DIILS Army Reserve team, Legal Command DIILS, has received the General MacArthur Leadership Award. The MacArthur is the U.S. Army's highest achievement award for a captain. The award is presented annually to company grade officers who epitomize the values championed by MacArthur: duty, honor and country. CPT Algarin is the first female judge advocate to receive the award in its 24 year history. CPT Algarin has led DIILS teams on engagements with the Mexican military.
