Newly Updated Pacific Aid Map from the Lowy Institute
The Lowy Institute has published its latest version of their “Pacific Aid Map.”
The map provides an overview on aid flows to the Pacific region. The regional layer provides macro information on the Pacific as a whole.
Some donors commit far more than they spend or spend large commitments over a long time. The default setting of the Pacific Aid Map is to display what has been spent by a donor in a given time period.
The Pacific Aid Map has four layers. Highlighting a donor on the outer ring will provide information on that donor. Clicking on a Pacific country will take you to the country-level, where you can explore down to see individual projects at the street level.
You can select from a range of filters on the left-hand side, including recipient, donor, sector, flow type and implementation status. Filters can also be selected using the icons below.
The Pacific Aid Map dataset spans eight years. Data is only complete up to and including 2019. For this reason, the default year is set at 2019. Users can explore individual years, or view all data collected, from this filter.
