Ke Kumu Podcast
In the ever-evolving landscape of global security, staying informed and connected is essential for practitioners in the field. With the rise of the Indo-Pacific region as a focal point of international affairs, understanding its dynamics has never been more crucial. To address this need, the Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies is proud to present "Ke Kumu," a podcast that aims to educate, connect, and empower security practitioners operating in the Indo-Pacific region. The podcast’s name "Ke Kumu" holds a significant meaning as it translates in Hawaiian to "the teacher" or "why." The podcast, produced by the public affairs office, embodies the spirit of this name by serving as a platform that delves into the 'whys' of Indo-Pacific security dynamics while seeking to promote collaboration between security practitioners in the region. The podcasts will host DKI APCSS professors, subject matter experts, as well as a diversity of the Center’s fellows and alums. DKI APCSS invites you to embark on this exciting journey of exploration, education, and empowerment. Stay tuned for the first episode of "Ke Kumu” with Dr. Alex Vuving on “Conflicts in the South China Sea,” set to be available soon on your preferred podcast platforms. The security landscape of the Indo-Pacific awaits, and "Ke Kumu" is here to guide you through it.
