The Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance is proud to announce the launch of its new website www.cfe-dmha.org March 17. The site will serve as a platform for synchronization of humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) tools and research, information sharing and collaboration of HADR professionals. The website boasts a modern design and is divided into five sections: about CFE-DMHA, programs, events, information resources and DMHA partners.
Through the Information Resources link, or quick link on the home page, the new website will give partners the opportunity to build upon information and relationships by providing a compilation of lessons learned from throughout the disaster response community through access to CFE’s virtual library and original publications. The virtual library offers a quick and easy search of essential information on HADR and is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information to our military, governmental and nongovernmental partners worldwide.
In addition, CFE’s Disaster Management Reference Handbooks provide a compilation of partner nation’s disaster preparedness, a disaster threat analysis, government structure, infrastructure and disaster management partner organizations.
Under the Programs link, users can find information on CFE’s educational courses such as the Humanitarian Assistance Response Training (HART) course, which in now online through JKO, and the Health Emergencies in Large Populations (HELP) course. Here users can also find information on the Civil Military Emergency Preparedness (CMEP) Program which CFE will assume duties of in October 2014.
The Events and Partners sections offer an overview of who our DMHA partners are with links to their respective websites and upcoming DMHA conferences, events and training opportunities.
