GCMC Alumni Programs is pleased to announce the 2023 Marshall Center Alumni Scholars Program. This program offers Alumni the possibility to compete for research scholarships in residence at the Marshall Center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Germany. Welcome to the 45th edition of per Concordiam! Seventy-two years after NATO’s founding, the Alliance is busy adapting to a changing security environment. Preparations are well underway to adopt a new NATO Strategic Concept and have it endorsed at the NATO summit in Madrid this week. The last such document was approved in November 2010 and has stood the test of time. It presented a fine balance between collective defense, crisis management and cooperative security. Nearly 50 Polish Marshall Center alumni and other participants attended an Alumni Outreach Networking Event in Warsaw, Poland on Mar. 10. The event was held at the residence of U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Mark F. Brzezinski, and was closely coordinated with both U.S. and German embassies in Warsaw. A distinguished panel of speakers discussed the topic of “NATO’s Eastern Flank: Safeguarding the Alliance, Confronting Current Threats and Promoting Core Values.” Continue reading
