PfPC 2021 Advanced Distributed Learning Multinational Workshop
From PfPC | by Elena Danilov | 15 Sep 2021

Reichenau, Austria 26-27 August - The PfPC Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Working Group’s Annual Multilateral Workshop convened, co-sponsored with the Austrian Defense Academy, and in cooperation with NATO A.  24 security professionals from 16 countries met for the first time in one year to discuss the future of ADL initiatives in multinational security cooperation.

In addition to sharing the most recent practices learned during the COVID pandemic, the group discussed the future of ADL in military exercises as a means to both increase output while also reducing costs.  Furthermore, NATO Allied Command Transformation shared the latest developments in ADL Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality to help meet training objectives.  The usefulness of ADL in language training and testing was reaffirmed, while also discussing how virtual classrooms--with proper e-learning training for instructors--can be set up for better hybrid learning environments.
