This chapter analyzes the relationship between terrorism and organized crime in Southeastern Europe. The author argues that transnational organized crime is a complex phenomenon in this region, one lnked with warlordism and terrorism. According to her, politics, crime and corruption have merged to form both a deeply criminalized political system and highly politicized criminal organizations.
