Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Working Group meeting in Georgia
Tbilisi, Georgia (28 November, 2016) – The Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL)/Technical Standards Working Group conducted its latest workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia from 15 – 17 November 2016. This event brought together 40 experts from 16 countries to review modern e-learning standards and technologies, to share their national accomplishments and discuss opportunities for defense education ans defense institution building cooperation.
“We are extremely honored and delighted to be in Tbilisi at the invitation of the Defense Institution Building (DIB) School. The activities of the ADL WG are part of the efforts to help partner nations build effective, professional, transparent and accountable defense institutions. We are following the principle of ‘partnerships based on shared values’, reaffirmed by NATO Wales Summit”, said Greta Keremidchieva, Chair of the Advanced Distributed Learning Working Group.
Under the framework of the Partnership for Peace Consortium, the ADL Group unites e-learning specialists and subject matter experts from various NATO and partner nations to work towards a common goal – the enhancement of defense education capabilities.
The ADL Working Group will conduct its next workshop in partnership with the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense in Vilnius, Lithuania from 19 – 21 April 2017.
