Wayne Easter rose to get the Canadian House of Commons to recognize the PfP Consortium, after he participated in the Security Sector Reform Working Group workshop we held on Intelligence Reform and Best Practices, in Budapest Hungary, alongside our colleagues from DCAF. NATO School Oberammergau will conduct twice a year the “M7-126 NATO eLearning Instructional Design Course”. It aims to provide participants with the basic knowledge required to create eLearning products. Furthermore the students will learn how to implement and evaluate eLearning solutions in support of NATO E&IT activities. The course will be accompanied by an additional week of online instructions that will introduce students to the possibilities of online tutoring and online teaching. Continue reading

Tbilisi, Georgia (28 November, 2016) – The Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL)/Technical Standards Working Group conducted its latest workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia from 15 – 17 November 2016. This event brought together 40 experts from 16 countries to review modern e-learning standards and technologies, to share their national accomplishments and discuss opportunities for defense education ans defense institution building cooperation. Durres, Albania (September 16, 2016) – To address the challenge of Foreign Terrorist Fighters (FTF), 85 practitioners and researchers from over 30 countries gathered in Durres, Albania for the "Foreign Terrorist Fighters and Irregular Migration Routes: Prevention and Resilience" tabletop exercise (TTX) from 13-15 September. The TTX incorporated scenarios from emerging security challenges to engage participants and develop actionable recommendations regarding FTF recruitment, travel, and return. Continue reading
